The Constitutional Court is to announce its interpretation on the same-sex marriage case at 4:00 pm, May 24, 2017.


On the petitions of Huei-Tai Case No. 12771 by Taipei City Government and of Huei-Tai Case No. 12674 by Chia-Wei CHI, regarding the constitutionality of the provisions of Chapter 2, Part 4 of the Civil Code, which does not allow any two persons of same sex to establish legal marriages, the Constitutional Court decides to announce its interpretation at 4:00pm, May 24, 2017
